Jeff attended the University of Montevallo, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Later he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and has attended Birmingham School of Law. He has been employed with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for over 30 years serving in various leadership capacities. Currently, he is the Community Relations Manager for the company and spends time engaging with public schools throughout the state encouraging faculty and students to live a healthy lifestyle. An avid reader and promoter of education, Jeff has enjoyed teaching as an adjunct instructor at Lawson State Community College and the University of Phoenix.
In addition to serving others through his work on the local and state level for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, Jeff also finds time to volunteer in other areas as an advocate for individuals with disabilities and mentoring young men at risk. He devotes many hours of service on
nonprofit boards including, The ARC of Central Alabama (helping adults with disabilities lead independent lives), Workshops Incorporated (employing adults with disabilities), VOICES of Alabama (advocating for kids in Alabama) as well as serving in the capacity of President for the
University of Montevallo Minority Alumni Club. Additionally, he is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
Jeff is married to Tracey Morant Adams and has one son Jeffery Jr. (JJ). The family resides in Pelham.
